“I love that financial planning is rooted in personal relationships – it’s not just numbers on a screen. Building trust with clients and helping them make sense of their financial world is the most rewarding part of the job. What I value most about FPC is that decisions are genuinely based on what’s best for the client, the team, and our local community – not just the bottom line.”
Catherine joined FPC after nearly two decades in customer-facing and administrative roles within financial services, including a long career at Yorkshire Building Society. Her journey into financial planning began in 2022, progressing through paraplanning into a full planning role as she works toward her diploma. She is also a council member for the Personal Finance Society, representing the Preston and Cumbria region.
Her main focus is supporting the advisory team in delivering personal, long-term financial planning – helping clients feel confident about their future and firmly in control. She particularly enjoys the chance to work face-to-face with clients, building strong, lasting relationships along the way.
When Catherine isn’t working, she’s at home in Preston with her husband Dave and their two sons. She’s an unashamed tea addict (ten cups a day is not unusual), avoids spiders and spicy food at all costs, and enjoys watching crime documentaries. Her favourite season is autumn, when the colours are rich and the weather still kind.
