Earlier this month, FPC celebrated a key milestone as our fabulous colleague Shirley Lehan retires after 25 years.
Shirley joined FPC just over 25 years ago, on 6th July 1998, when You’re the one that I want by Olivia Newton John and John Travolta was top of the charts, and Gerard Houlier was the Manager of Shirley’s favourite football team, Liverpool. With FPC through recession, a 10-year credit crisis, Covid and more recently the cost-of-living crisis, Shirley’s steadfast dedication to FPC, its clients and the team have been a constant throughout. She has been the scourge of insurance companies, pension providers and, when the need has arisen, wayward clients, FPC partners and staff! Fiercely protective of FPC and what we stand for, it is her commitment to those she supports and dedication to excellence that is her true legacy and those are the values she has instilled in everyone she has worked with.
Her formidable skillset has set the bar high within FPC, which has meant that we’ve all been challenged to be better and to go the extra mile – never accepting anything less than excellent.
Throughout her time at FPC, Shirley has also been a full-time wife and Mum, so our thanks go out to Dave and the family for their support of FPC too – we’ve probably spent more time with Shirley than they have over the last 25 years!
On behalf of everyone at FPC – a huge thank you to Shirley. It’s certainly not goodbye but rather bon voyage, as she prepares for a long-awaited trip to Australia in the new year which we look forward to hearing about on her return.
