A Christmas Message from FPC’s Managing Partner, Moira O’Shaughnessy

As 2024 draws to a close, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our clients, professional partners, and community collaborators for your support throughout what has been both a challenging and rewarding year.

This year began on a difficult note for our team as we faced the news that our colleague Stephen was dealing with a life-changing health diagnosis. It is with immense relief and gratitude that we end the year with him back in action and supported by a treatment plan. Stephen’s challenges coincided with Helen’s maternity leave, which – though planned – meant the rest of the team had to step up to take on additional responsibilities.

Your patience and understanding during this time did not go unnoticed and were deeply appreciated by everyone here at FPC. The team’s ability to pull together and support each other, while maintaining our commitment to our clients, was a testament to their dedication and resilience.

A Year of Client Support

It is always a privilege to help our clients achieve their lifetime goals and see them flourish. However, this year reminded us how vital it is to also be there when life gets tough. For some of our clients, 2024 has been incredibly challenging, and we’ve been honoured to stand by their side, offering guidance and support through difficult times.

As we look ahead to 2025, our commitment remains unwavering; to be here for our clients in both the good times and the bad, and to continually improve your experience of working with us.

Navigating Change Together

The recent Budget announcement has introduced potentially significant implications for many. In the coming year, our focus will be on helping clients understand these changes and addressing any planning issues they bring. We will work closely with our professional partners to ensure you are fully supported.

As one of the few remaining independent, owner-managed advisory firms in the North West, we are proud to continue investing in our future. In 2025, this will be evident through enhancements to our service proposition, further recruitment, and upgrades to our IT infrastructure and office facilities—all designed to add value to you.

Celebrating and Connecting in 2025

Next year also marks a special milestone; the 25th anniversary of our move to Ainsdale. To celebrate this and our work through the FPC Foundation, we will host a series of client events, including Budget updates and community-focused gatherings. These events will provide wonderful opportunities for you to connect with our team and other clients, as we reflect on the past and look ahead to the future.

Thank You and Best Wishes

On behalf of everyone here in Ainsdale, I want to thank you for your continued confidence and trust in us. Your support means the world to our team, and we are committed to serving you with the same passion and dedication in the year ahead.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and, above all, a happy, peaceful, and healthy 2025.

Warm regards,

Moira O’Shaughnessy
