As 2023 draws to a close, we would like to thank our clients, professional partners and community partners for their support throughout another challenging year in terms of the economic backdrop, but another positive year for FPC as we continued to look after our clients, invest in our future, and strengthen our team.
As Christmas approaches, we are mindful of those who continue to struggle as a result of the cost-of-living crisis and, like last year, FPC is supporting the VENUS centre in Bootle with donations to their Christmas toy appeal. The FPC Foundation ‘24 for 24 Grants Programme’ will also be making £24,000 of grant funding available to kick start community projects early in 2024. Last week we made a £1,000 contribution to the Mango Tree as it celebrates its 20-year anniversary, and thanks to the Big Give our contribution has been doubled! We know many FPC clients support this great charity, and it was through another FPC client Mike Potts that we were introduced to Gail and Willie; we are making this contribution in his memory as he sadly passed away recently.
FPC owes a huge debt of thanks to Mike Potts who was a tremendous advocate of FPC in its early days as he recognised the importance of independent financial advice and the power of financial planning. Thanks to Mike, our Founder Mark Ralphs was invited to participate in a series of joint business seminars which opened the door to business clients and professional connections that without Mike’s endorsement would have been very difficult for a fledgling financial planning practice to secure.
The FPC of today very much reflects the values Mike represented – commitment to community, education, and the service of others. Our thoughts are with his wife, Ginny, and the family this Christmas and with all those who have lost loved ones recently.
