National Careers Week is not only the perfect time to raise awareness of the Financial Planning profession but also to share what it means to our team and what they believe it delivers to our clients and partners.

National Careers Week provides a focus for careers guidance at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education. Now more than ever with rising concerns about employment opportunities that guidance is critical.

FPC’s role in the local community as ‘education champions’ has obviously been put on hold during the last 12 months but we look forward to continuing our work as soon as we can…

In the meantime, here’s an update on the latest developments and insights from the team:

New Job Opportunities

To celebrate National Careers Week, we’re promoting two exciting new job opportunities as part of our expansion plans:

Feel free to spread the word if you know of anybody who may be interested.

Office Refurb Update

Our new office refurbishment is making great progress with the atrium now complete ready to receive a new staircase leading up to the planning and admin suite. Downstairs client meeting rooms are being kitted out with state-of-the-art IT and we have six loos and three kitchen installations on the go!  We will be ready for action once lockdown is lifted and plan a phased return of the team, followed by as many opportunities as possible to welcome back clients, professional and community partners back to Ainsdale!

Team Insights

We’ve also added some new content to our site which should help to give more of an idea about what Financial Planning involves for anyone contemplating their career choices, but also to provide an insight into what motivates our team and how they believe they make a difference to our clients’ lives.

Firstly, our Chartered Financial Planner, Paul Welsh talks about winning the Certified Financial Planner Professional of the Year Award last year and what it means to him, how FPC supports the team personally and professionally and why he loves his job.

Here at FPC, we encourage our team to aim high and strive to be the best they can.  Another Chartered Financial Planner at FPC, Helen Thomas represents a shining example of what can be achieved with dedication to continual professional and personal development.  Helen shares her thoughts on what the recent addition of Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) to her armoury means to her, what a typical day in her role looks like and the things that give her the most job satisfaction.

We’ve missed seeing all our clients and partners and look forward to welcoming you all to the new office as soon as the work is completed and you can visit us safely.
